I'm grateful for the many opportunities I've had to counsel others, often in the midst of difficult times in their lives. Each person is a unique being who is discovering who they are and the many possibilities that exist in their lives. The distress and unrest they feel becomes the seeds for change where courageous steps are taken with hopes for a more fulfilling and happy life.

I welcome the opportunity to be an entrusted and caring support on your life's journey.  In my 20 years as a psychologist, I've gained a wealth of experience, resources, and wisdom to help people live their soul's purpose, learning how to create more joy, peace, and balance in their lives. This transformation journey is an active holistic approach that engages your body, heart, spirit and mind while releasing old identities, beliefs, and behaviors that no longer serve your life vision.

It takes great courage to step into the unknown, leaving behind what has become safe and familiar, Your commitment to seek a more purposeful and fulfilling life is truly one of the greatest gift you can give yourself.  I offer you a navigable map to help guide you through your process of change, which inlcudes many resources, tools, and homework to help you create the life you want. In this invaluable quest, you will learn how to more fully accept and love yourself while also becoming more grateful and connected to other living beings in your life.

I specialize working with adults who are ready to take the next step in their lives and want to begin moving beyond their worries, stress, anger, depression, bad habits, addictions, and past trauma.  My holistic and soul-centered approach is ideal for those who want to be happier, deepen their spirituality, strengthen relationships, improve parenting skills, or develop a fulfilling career.

I offer private sessions at my office as well as telephone and videoconference sessions for those who are not able to come to my office or prefer remote sessions. Please feel free to contact me to schedule an appointment or learn more about my services.

I wish you well on your life's journey!

"A human being is part of the whole, called by us 'Universe,' a part limited in time and space.
He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest - a kind of
optical delusion of his consciousness.
This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us
to our personal desires and to affection for
a few persons nearest to us.
Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison
by widening our circle of compassion
to embrace all living creatures and
the whole nature in its beauty."

"I first sought Dr. Hanna’s assistance in unravelling the cause of panic attacks.  His ability to make me feel safe opened the door to expose deep emotional trauma that I have kept hidden away for many years.  We began working hand-in-hand with art therapy; his caring environment allowed me the opportunity to find the courage to express the underlying pain in both words and paintings, and begin the road to true healing.  Dr. Hanna has been a life-saver and I will remain forever grateful." ~ Rose, 59 year-old client

"Working with Dr. Bob Hanna has proven to be a life changing experience.  His vast knowledge and experience coupled with his unique insightful and empathic perspective make a perfect combination.  He empowers you through the process of self discovery and healing.  Our family is so grateful to have found such a talented therapist; he has made a profound difference for the members of our family."- mother of 13 year-old client

"My adult son is on the autism spectrum with attachment issues and intellectual delays.  He has seen Dr. Hanna for over two years and continues to be willing to work on his relationship with other people as well as managing his perseverations and anger.  While the progress is slow, my son is persistent in large part because Dr. Hanna can meet him where he is, challenge him in a way that is non-threatening and celebrate his accomplishments.  It is very hard to find a competent therapist who can work with individuals on the spectrum and I am pleased that my son is able to receive such quality support.  Dr. Bob has also worked with me and the staff who care for my son and helped us see what we can do to support him—and ourselves!"- Kathy Reiter
